Sacred Threshold

One of the joys of visiting Glastonbury is having a wander up and down the High Street, stopping for coffee and a bit of browsing through the shops.  Along the way we pass Jacoby Cottage, an old Slipper Chapel where medieval pilgrims would stop to wash their feet before stepping on to holy ground and proceeding to their sacred destination.

  1. Is the Jacoby Cottage a private residence now? I love the simplicity of the building…beautiful!

    1. Yes, I checked with Karin and she confirmed that it has been a private residence for at least 25 years, maybe longer. I have always loved it.

    2. Carol, I answered this last week, but my reply seems to have vanished. I asked Karin who said that yes, Jacoby Cottage has been a private residence for at least 25 years, maybe longer.
