I don’t know anything about this plaque, but something about it made me pause when I saw it — clearly she means something to somebody. Funny, I pass this garden nearly every day, but I never noticed the little clay ornament until a couple of days ago. Now that I know she’s there, my eyes seek her out as I pass, like a visual touchstone, a friend in passing. I enjoy seeing the ornaments that people choose for their gardens… next thing you know, I’ll be making up a story about how this one came to be propped up on the corner of the little bungalow…
